Leadership Development
The greatest challenge to fulfilling the Great Commission is the lack of trained Christian leaders. This need motivates KTM to offer biblically-based, sound leadership training for the leaders of today and tomorrow. There are three reasons why leadership training is vitally important to fulfilling the Great Commission:
1. LEADERS INFLUENCE FOLLOWERS.
The leader of any team has great impact on the results and effectiveness of the people they lead. It’s important that leaders are properly trained in order to ensure cohesiveness and consistency in positive encounters. If the leader is not effective, then the followers and their results are hindered. This effectually has a negative impact on moral and retention. We actually lose souls, instead of gaining them.
2. THE CALL TO MULTIPLY.
The church is just one generation away from extinction. A central part of church leadership is passing the message and mission on to the next generation and to others so that followers of Jesus “multiply” and “fill the earth”. Good leadership creates a passion in other to continue the mission of evangelism.
3. THE MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE.
Leadership training is at the core of the biblical method for expanding the Kingdom. Both Old and New Testaments focus on the training and multiplication of leaders. In the Old Testament, Jethro challenged Moses to create a leadership structure and development system. In the New Testament we see that Jesus spent three years training His disciples, not only in duties but in character and by relational day-to-day encounters.
